Bridges - Over canals and small rivers to allow safe crossing in all weather
Bridges, like classrooms and schools, are unique to the areas in which they are built. Approximate costs are $1200 - $1500 US for a small concrete bridge; $2000 - $4000 for a long bridge like the one at Ap O Long Vi. The bridge at Ap O Long Vi will, along with many other uses, allow the children who live on the other side of the canal to come regularly to school.

One fourth of the cost of this bridge was paid for by donations from the Vietnamese Culture and Science Association of San Diego, CA and Foodaid. Compassion. The rest of the cost was covered by the villagers.
