Approximately 850 million people worldwide are malnourished. About a billion people have no access to safe drinking water. Forty million people are infected with HIV/AIDS, 95% of whom live in developing countries. More than a billion people worldwide are living on less than a dollar a day. One in six people are illiterate.

Breedlove Dehydrated Foods - is a non-profit dehydration plant and packaging operation that is dedicated to providing nutritious and wholesome dehydrated vegetable products to hunger and famine relief projects in the United States and around the world.  It is the first large-scale vegetable processing plant in the world devoted to feeding hungry people.

Catholic Relief Services (CRS) - founded in 1943 by the Catholic Bishops of the United States to assist the poor and disadvantaged outside the country

OIC International (OICI) - a non-profit organization whose mission is to improve lives in developing countries through training and sustainable organizational development
